The MPV kit can be motorised using either one of two recommended options, a Blackbeetle Motor Bogie or a Tenshodo Motor Bogie. Once mounted these give the desired vehicle height.
A, Blackbeetle,
A 32.5mm wheelbase with 12mm “Plain disc wheels” is required.
This needs to be specified when ordering the motorbogie as does the wheel gauge/profile. Due to the height of the blackbeetle motorbogie it will not fit under the floor of the MPV without modifications to the chassis.
The preferred method requires a hole to be cut out of the floor at the inner end, requiring a permanently mounted module to be placed over the hole.
B. Tenshodo,
A Tenshodo Spud Motorbogie WB31 with 12mm Plain disc wheels fitted (Not supplied). These wheels have to be obtained separately and then fitted. The wheelbase of this Motorbogie is 2mm under length, but an advantage is this motor can be mounted under the cab of the MPV. With this motorising option a module does not have to be permanently fixed to the MPV.
